Little Venice
Little Venice is a picturesque neighborhood where you can enjoy one of the finest sunsets in Greece. The houses and the shops with their magnificent architecture are located in the sea. They began to be built in the middle of the 18th century in which wealthy people and captains lived.
Windmills
The imposing windmills that proudly rise above the sea are located at Alefkandra with a view of Little Venice. Today 7 of the 10 windmills are preserved. The Mykonos mills have played a decisive role in the economic development of the island between the 17th and 19th centuries.
Armenistis Lighthouse
Armenistis Lighthouse is one of the characteristic buildings of Mykonos in the Fanari area. Its location offers a great view of the endless sea and is an ideal spot for the breathtaking sunsets. Originally, Armenistis was built to prevent marine accidents.
Lena’s House
Lena’s house is a 19th-century middle-floor house. Here you will find mirrors, embroidery, paintings and you can enjoy the beautiful collection of traditional and European furniture of the season.
Ano Mera Monastery
The Holy Monastery of Panagia Tourliani was founded in 1542 by monks who came from Paros. The white color of Mykonos prevails in the monastery and its cells. The small temple with marble facade and carvings impresses the visitor. Around the monastery has developed the present settlement of Ano Mera.
Archaeological Museum
The archaeological museum is located on the hill above the old harbor of Mykonos and was built in the early 20th century in order to house the finds of the excavations at Reneia (Little Island next to Delos).
